The 60 Minutes Obama Infomercial

60 Minutes

So 60 Minutes ran a 40 minute “interview” with President Obama on Sunday night.

So which hard questions did “journalist” Steve Kroft ask Obama:

Did Kroft ask President Obama about how his administration blew $500 million plus in the Solyndra scandal?  Nope.

Did Kroft ask about how the Obama administration provided firearms to Mexican drug dealers, in the “Fast And Furious” scandal?  Nope.

About Obama has refused to enforce federal laws, that bar illegal immigrants from entering the United States?  Nope.

Instead, these were the tough questions offered up by so-called “journalist” Steve Kroft —-

KROFT:   Look, you gave up a lot. You said you wanted a balanced approach. You didn’t get it. You cut a trillion dollars and set up the framework to cut another trillion plus and the Republicans gave up nothing . . . .    It seems to be all the compromising is being done by you.

Wow, Obama sure is a great guy!  And those Republicans?  Just plan evil!

And then there was this exchange:

KROFT: You definitely have some impressive accomplishments.

PRESIDENT OBAMA: Thank you, Steve.

KROFT: No, you do. And more than a lot of presidents who manage to get reelected . . . .

As the men were talking, text passed across the screen — To Donate To The Obama Campaign:  Call This Number Right Now!

Ok, I’m only joking about text passing across the screen.  But why not?  After all — It’s clear 60 Minutes was campaigning for Obama.

Speaking of jokes — this whole interview was a joke!   In fact, it was just like an informercial.  Where some  model in a short skirt asks the host:  “How are you so rich and successful and compassionate and wonderful?”

Finally, if 60 Minutes really were journalists — wouldn’t it have been professional to get a reaction from Republicans?  Show portions of the Obama interview to Mitch McConnell or Paul Ryan, and let them respond.

Not a chance.

Instead, the last part of the program was an interview with – Warren Buffet, Obama’s loyal supporter!

Too funny!

Obviously, 60 Minutes isn’t involved in journalism.  They’re telemarketers!  So why doesn’t CBS just give Obama the entire 60 Minutes episode every week, to promote his campaign?

I guess these “journalists”  need to some reserve some time to attack Republicans.

In The Obama Depression, Children Sleep In Cars

homeless

I’m no fan of 60 Minutes.  But one story tonight was compelling.  The subject — homeless families in Florida, who sleep in their cars.

A sample from the story:

“Last year, the Coates left Washington, D.C., for a new life in Florida but the jobs dried up. When the savings went, Victoria and D’Angelo learned how to be homeless. They found out there’s a checklist for living in a car. You want security, lighting, a place where you might be welcome or at least a place busy enough to hide in. Walmart lots can be good – it depends on the manager, YMCAs mostly look the other way. D’Angelo settled outside a hospital emergency room.

D’Angelo Coates: And we knew that through bein’ there we could at least brush our teeth in the morning, go to the bathroom if we need to in the middle of the night. And I’m sitting on the cooler in between our vehicle and another vehicle just to make sure they’re okay.

Pelley: Standing guard all night.

D’Angelo Coates: Yup.

Pelley: D’Angelo, what does a man think about, sitting on a cooler all night with his family in the car next to him?

D’Angelo Coates: At that moment, I guess I feel less than a dad. I guess, I guess I can say or as a husband. Because I’m not able to provide for my family.

Victoria Coates: Going into that car really did something to me. I felt helpless. I felt like I couldn’t help my children.”

So I want to know where Michelle Obama is going on vacation this year.  Spain?  Africa?  How about the South of France?  I bet the “first lady” could blow $1 million in taxpayer dollars on a vaction there.

And how about you Mr. President?  Martha’s Vineyard again?  Be sure to take two planes.  Who cares about the cost?   You wouldn’t want to make Michelle and the kids start their vacation 2 hours late.

Charge it to the taxpayers!

The utter lack of empathy displayed by Barack and Michelle Obama is hard to believe.

How can any two people be so selfish?

The Dow Jones Average today fell another 500 + points.

Meanwhile, in between fundraisers and rounds of golf, Obama (with the help of Reid and Pelosi) will manage to run up a “historic” deficit of about 6 Trillion in four years.

That’s not even counting the unbelievably expensive Obamacare!

Don’t you wish Obama would spend ALL his time on the golf course?

Obama’s Response to Stock Market Crisis — More Fundraising!

By Prof Steinberg ~ August 9th, 2011 @ 3:33 am No Comments »
Obama Fundraiser NYC 5

Yesterday, the Dow Industrial average dropped more than 600 points — on the back of heavy losses last week.

So how did President Obama respond?

Did he meet with his cabinet?  Nope

A meeting with Federal Reserve Chair Ben Bernanke?  Nope.

Ok.  How about a meeting with congressional leaders?  Nope.

The correct answer is . . .

FUNDRAISING!

CNN Reports:

“President Barack Obama turns his attention to campaign politics Monday night, as he headlines two events for the Democratic National Committee and his re-election campaign.

According to the White House schedule, the president first attends a gathering of approximately 140 guests at a private residence in the nation’s capital. A DNC official says proceeds from the $15,000 per family gathering will go to the Obama Victory Fund, with the money raised shared by the president’s re-election campaign and DNC.  [Blog comment: I wonder if any of the donors use private jefts?]

A source with knowledge of the event says it’s being held at the home of Don and Katrina Peebles. Don Peebles is a real estate entrepreneur and sits on the Obama campaign’s national finance committee.  [Blog comment:  I wonder if Don Peebles owns a private jet?}

The president then heads to the St. Regis Hotel to meet with approximately 60 guests. While not a fundraiser, a source says the gathering is a donor outreach event.”

The CNN piece continues:

“Obama’s reelection campaign and the DNC raised a combined $86 million between April and June, blowing past the combined $60 million goal set by both groups at the start of the second quarter. Of the $86 million raised, the campaign said over $47 million went into the coffers of Obama for America and more than $38 million went to the DNC.”

Incidentally, the photo is from yet another Obama fundraiser.

Do really think Barack Hussein Obama cares about this country?  Do you really think he cares about you?

Obama cares about you if and only if you have$35,000+ to give at one of his events.

President Obama has got to be the most selfish man in the entire world.

You can disagree.  But you’re just kidding yourself.
